Resume Objectives for Accounting Positions
There are several different types of accounting positions for which you could apply, including those who deal exclusively with payroll, and those who are CPAs for businesses. In your objective statement on your resume, specify the type of accountant you are or would like to become, and mention, if applicable, any accounting software you know.

Objective: A position in the accounting department at {company name} that requires a qualified accountant with skills in computer applications and payroll documentation.

Objective: Recent {name of school} graduate seeking employment as an entry-level CPA at {company name}, where my special skills in tax evaluation will help the company receive all appropriate deductions and maintain accurate records.
